‘The Villa’ is a grand old Victorian house built in the 1870s for a Scotsman who had a drapery business in the town.

The house still retains a lot of original features that have to be seen to appreciate the craftsmanship of a bygone age.

There's the window that's a door, the doorknob that slides and doesn't turn, the flush that pulls etc etc

We could go on but won't. Come and see for yourself.

Whilst these are a delight and of great interest to our guests, we have made every effort to provide the comforts of modern living.
